Last night, I was out with a group of friends. I checked my pockets and noticed that I had a loonie and a toonie. I had been tempted to buy lottery tickets. In my first try, I lost two dollars.
I bought another ticket, and asked my friends, half-joking, to cross their fingers for me.
- I really believe if I cross my fingers, something strange is going to happen! I am not going to do that.
- (Me) Just do it once and you will see nothing will happen
PS.1. This conversation should have happened in Persian! I am not sure why I recall it in English
SS. The same night, I went to Casino and won $90. May be it was because somebody decided to cross her/his fingers for me :wink
