Conflict of Interests:

1- I am almost done with my US trip. During the trip, I have visited some friends of mine (and I almost visited an old friend!).

In States, whenever I have been with Iranians we have had Persian foods. I could not have rejected their offers, for going to Persian restaurants, as in most cases my friends scheduled a short trip to the restaurants.

My preference was/is to try the local restaurants but, as one can expect, local restaurants are not very interesting for residents of that area.
